Zak has been in the radio business for 20 years. In fact, he wanted to work in the radio industry so bad, that he waited 4 hours to meet with someone at his first interview. The receptionist told him that Steve (the guy he was supposed to interview with) wasn't even in the building, and that he might want to reschedule. Zak insisted on waiting...and waiting...and waiting. Steve had forgotten about the interview. When he finally arrived back at the station he felt so guilty, he just gave Zak the job without asking any questions. Since then, Zak has worked in Tallahassee, Florida as well as the award-winning US101 in Chattanooga. At that time, they had won the CMA "Station of the Year" award for 7 consecutive years. Zak was there for 5 of those years. He and his wife, Susan, moved to Nashville in 2002 where he moved to the 'national stage' as the morning guy on Sirius Satellite Radio's New Country channel. Zak is very happy and fortunate to have settled in at the legendary WSIX as morning show producer for "Billy and Karla". He's the one who keeps them sane and in-line. (Not really...We just made that part up).
