Thompson Square’s Keifer Thompson says that he’s singing better than he has in years after recovering from his vocal chord surgery to treat a hemorrhage and a polyp.
“You know, I didn’t know the extent of the damage. I’ve been abusing my voice I guess for years,” he told CMT. “My voice is to a point now where I haven’t been able to do what I’m doing for a year-and-a-half, almost two years.”
It’s not good news all round, however, as it seems wife Shawna Thompson preferred him silent.
“Now that I can talk again, I’m like, ‘I’m back baby!’ And she’s like ‘Oh God, I liked you when you were silent,’” Kiefer jokes.
The duo is supporting Luke Bryan on tour right now.
Kelly Clarkson likes being on tour with Maroon 5, but she hates the fact that touring with them meant she had to push her wedding back to October from June.
"I'm very upset about it. I should be married by now, but we could not fit it in," she said. "I'm getting married right after I get off tour."
As well as working on pop and country songs for her new album, and a Christmas album, she’s also taken on the job of being a step-mom to fiance Brandon Blackstock’s two kids from a previous marriage.
"We live together in a new house, and there's construction everywhere," Kelly explains. "I mean, everything you could actually put on a list we've actually put on our list."
A sneak peak has been released of Carrie Underwood's new version of the NFL Sunday Night Football theme "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night."
As NBC promised over the weekend, Carrie's version is not much different than Faith Hill's. They both feature a big beat, huge voice and lots of energy.
(Plus, both are a lot cuter than Hank Williams, Jr.)
Football fans will be able to hear the entire "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" on September 8 when the New York Giants face the Dallas Cowboys.

Jake Owen has dropped a new single called "Day of Gold."
It's the first single from an album expected out later this year. As for his shredded hand, Owen tweeted a picture Tuesday of doctors working on his fingers.
"Caution," he said, "not for weak stomach."
Fortunately, the country hunk reports that he's getting feeling and movement back in his fingers. It's still too early to determine when he'll be able to play guitar again, but Owen will be back on stage Friday, bandaged hand and all.
Jason Aldean has loaded up on platinum and gold this month.
Seven of his singles were certified either platinum or gold by the RIAA in July, led by the double-platinum "Big Green Tractor" for two million copies sold or streamed.
His million-sellers now include "Fly Over States" and "Tattoos On This Town." Reaching Gold for 500,000 copies were "1994," "Crazy Town" and "The Truth."
Dancing With the Stars really gave Kellie Pickler the dancing bug, now she wants to learn ballet.
"I want to learn ballet so badly I can’t stand it! I’m hoping that I will be able to train with someone and I would love to do a ballet routine in one of my videos," she told Parade.
She also revealed that people would have no idea she was a country star from looking at her house with husband Kyle Jacobs.
“We don’t have plaques or trophies. I don’t have one picture from one show in our house,” she said. “I keep that separate. When I walk in my door, when I’m at home, I’m not Kellie Pickler anymore; I’m Kellie Jacobs.”
