Dropping everything and hightailing it to NY on a whim isn't exactly the easiest thing to do, especially when you have kids! I can't tell you what was working in my favor, but the stars aligned and the planets were spinning at just the right speed and we made it happen.
Kenny Chesney played his 100th Stadium show (in 8 years) this weekend and I can't tell you how fortunate I felt to be there. I wish I had more pics for you. I misplaced my phone during Kacey Musgraves and Eli Young's set (go figure...it needs a leash), but was back in action for Eric Church and Kenny! You'll also see some shots of NYC. I never made it to the Freedom Tower like I wanted to, but I was very fortunate to catch up with a very special person. The girl in some of the pics is "Steff" and she's one of my nearest and dearest friends. We grew up together on Long Island. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Good, bad etc. Being able to share my day and the music I love with her was priceless. Wish you could have been there to meet her AND of course, see the show. :)
