If you’ve been fortunate enough to get close to Jake Owen, you would see that there’s a tattoo of the name "PEARL" on his left arm. "PEARL" was his Godmother who passed away in July. From the way Jake described her “Cusses like a sailor, smokes like a chimney and drinks like a fish” she was quite a pistol. He also said she was the “angel of my life” which would explain why his next sweet angel (due to arrive any day now) will be honored with her name.
If she lives up to her namesake, Jake will be more salt than pepper in no time, but at we’ll know she comes by it honestly.
