MIRANDA LAMBERT’s Cause For Paws event has been postponed due to growing size. The event, which began in East Texas in 2008, has grown so large that a venue is no longer available to accommodate the crowd. Miranda’s folks are currently in negotiations to re-locate the event and it could still take place later this year.

GEORGE STRAIT scores his 85th top ten single this week on the Billboard Country Singles chart with Love’s Gonna Make It All Right. George is all alone in second place for most top tens by a country artist, with EDDY ARNOLD holding the current record for the most at 92.
 
The Academy of Country Music has announced SCOTTY MCCREERY, HUNTER HAYES and BRANTLEY GILBERT will compete for Top New Artist. Voting will be determined by fans and industry insiders to determine the winner. Fan voting begins March 19. The ACM Awards will air April 1 from Las Vegas.
 
The 2012 Grammy Awards are set for Sunday night in Los Angeles. Country performers will include JASON ALDEAN with KELLY CLARKSON, TAYLOR SWIFT and GLEN CAMPBELL collaborating with BLAKE SHELTON and THE BAND PERRY on his hit Rhinestone Cowboy. REBA MCENTIRE, LADY ANTEBELLUM and DIERKS BENTLEY will present.
 
The music video for TAYLOR SWIFT’s new song, Safe And Sound, will debut February 13 across MTV’s networks including CMT. The song is from the upcoming movie The Hunger Games.
 
MERLE HAGGARD plans to resume touring later this month with a show in Phoenix (February 28). Hag says he’s feeling good and has been rehearsing with the band. He sends his thanks and appreciation to fans for their continued prayers, which he says helped spearhead his quick recovery from pneumonia.
 
RANDY TRAVIS begins his 25th Anniversary tour tonight (Friday) in Grand Ronde, Oregon. Dates are scheduled through early May.

A Victoria's Secret Angel has grounded herself.

Kylie Bisutti has left the brand because she believes modeling lingerie goes against her Christian faith.

The 21-year-old tells Fox News, "Victoria's Secret was my absolutely biggest goal in life, and it was all I ever wanted career-wise... But the more I was modeling lingerie -- and lingerie isn't clothing -- I just started becoming more uncomfortable with it because of my faith. I'm Christian, and reading the Bible more, I was becoming more convicted about it."

Kylie is married and said that was also a factor in her decision. "My body should only be for my husband and it's just a sacred thing."

And, according to restaurant ratings guide Zagat, couples out at a romantic dinner will spend an average of $147.

Actually, scratch that. "Couples" aren't spending that much money. Guys are.

MEN ARE BUYING CLOTHES AGAIN _ Experts on the economy say a sure sign that things are improving is men heading back to the malls. After years of skimping on clothing American men are hitting the malls in droves. Sales of men's apparel are forecast to increase 8.26 percent in the first quarter. Men spent an estimated $8.4 billion on clothing last year. That would be up 8.21 percent from 2010 and the largest increase in 20 years.

TED WILLIAMS READS TWEETS FOR KRAFT _ Ted Williams, the former homeless man with the golden voice who hit YouTube fame in early 2011, is back for a Twitter-based Valentine’s Day campaign for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. From February 12 to 14, Williams will shoot up to 100 videos for the brand’s "Golden Voice of Love" campaign. The videos will feature Williams applying his deep voice to reads of selected tweets using the hashtag #VoiceOfLove, which Twitter users can send to their sweethearts. (@kraftmacncheese will tweet messages to the winners to notify them.) Each #VoiceOfLove tweet will trigger a donation of 100 boxes to Feeding America, a homeless advocacy group. Kraft will give up to 100,000 boxes.

KODAK ENDS ITS CAMERA BUSINESS _ Kodak stunned the world Thursday, announcing that it has put an end to its camera business. By the end of June, Kodak expects to phase out its digital cameras, pocket video cameras, and digital picture frames. The company plans to focus heavily on its current brand licensing and on attracting companies that might need some of its patents. Kodak will still offer its online Kodak Gallery service and retail-based photo printing. Its inkjet printers will also remain on store shelves.

PIZZA HUT DINNER PROPOSAL PACKAGE _ Just in time for Valentine's Day, Pizza Hut is offering a Dinner Box Proposal Package, complete with fireworks, limo service, flowers, a ruby ring and -- of course -- a $10 box of pizza and breadsticks. ELLEN DeGENERES ADDRESSES HATERS

Ellen DeGeneres had a word for her haters during yesterday's show taping.

In response to an anti-gay group's campaign to get JC Penney to dump her as a spokeswoman, Ellen said, "Normally I try not to pay attention to my haters, but this time, I'd like to talk about it because my haters are my motivators."

Those haters are the One Million Moms, who believe "DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at" JC Penney.

The talk-show host continued, "I usually don't talk about stuff like this on my show, but I really want to thank everyone who is supporting me. And if you don't know me very well...I want to be clear. Here are the values that I stand for. I stand for honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you want to be treated and helping those in need. To me, those are traditional values. That's what I stand for."

HOUSE ENDING ITS RUN IN APRIL

Dr. Gregory House is retiring.

Producers announced yesterday that House M.D. will air its final episode in April. In a statement, executive producers Hugh Laurie, David Shore and Katie Jacobs said, "After much deliberation, the producers of House M.D. have decided that this season of the show, the eigth, should be the last. By April this year they will have completed 177 episodes, which is about 175 more than anyone expected back in 2004."

WHAT DO WOMEN WANT FOR VALENTINE'S DAY? ELECTRONICS!

One of the big problems for guys when it comes to Valentine's Day is that they have to go shopping. But, it's not shopping for fun stuff. Instead, it's all about flowers and jewelry. It's enough to give a guy a headache.

But, maybe it doesn't have to.

According to a new survey, women want electronics instead of traditional gifts for Valentine's Day. Seriously!

The survey, conducted by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), found that women's interest in gadgets has increased through the years and today, over 40 percent say they are "very interested" in consumer electronics.

"This Valentine's Day, the way to a women's heart just might be through electronics," said Jessica Boothe, who oversaw this study. "Women want technology more than ever and they view electronics as very personal devices that can be toted around and customized with private information." (TechJournalSouth.com)

O'REILLY BACKS DeGENERES _ Ellen DeGeneres may have found a surprising new shopping buddy. DeGeneres recently became a spokesperson for JC Penney, but conservative group One Million Moms protested, claiming that the retail chain was jumping on the "pro-gay bandwagon" and calling for JC Penney to fire DeGeneres. On Wednesday's O'Reilly Factor, conservative pundit Bill O'Reilly spoke out in favor of DeGeneres and JC Penney's decision to retain her as their spokesperson. O'Reilly said, "I don't think that's the spirit of America. What is the difference between the McCarthy-era communist blacklist of the '50s and the Million Moms saying, 'Hey, JCPenney and all you other stores, don't you hire any gay people. Don't you dare.' What's the difference?... A conservative group in the country is asking a private company to fire an American citizen based on her lifestyle. I don't think that's correct."

... O'Reilly clarified that he supported the One Million Moms and other traditional-valued shoppers for speaking up and boycotting JC Penney, but for him, the issue was about ethical business practices.

NBC AND NFL POINT FINGERS OVER HALFTIME SHOW _ NBC and the NFL are at odds over who's to blame for the inappropriate gesture displayed during halftime of the Super Bowl. British rapper M.I.A.’s decision to flip the bird to more than 111 million viewers during halftime has led to some gesturing between NBC and the NFL; the network and the league released dueling statements February 5, seemingly blaming the other for the singer's errant finger during a performance of Madonna's new single, Give Me All Your Luvin'. The NBC statement noted that "the NFL hired the talent and produced" the show. An NFL statement stressed a "failure in NBC's delay system" and characterized the gesture as "completely inappropriate" and "obscene." Insiders say that after the game, NBC and the NFL discussed the situation at length after reporters began contacting them for comment. But the league did not give NBC a look at its statement. Sources say that NBC executives felt that the word "obscene" was over-the-top.

BACHELOR TO BECOME CHIPPENDALES HOST _ A certain stud, who has made a name for himself by appearing as one of the guys looking for love on ABC's The Bachelor, just landed a gig with Chippendales in Las Vegas. Jake Pavelka has signed on to serve as a special celebrity guest host to help Chippendales celebrate its 10-year anniversary at Sin City's Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. The gig will last from February 23 to March 18 and give Pavelka, according to a press release, a chance to "use his charm, sex appeal and hosting skills to keep the women entertained while leaving the dancing to the men of Chippendales."

THE WORST FACEBOOK STATUS UPDATES

The updates that (try to) subliminally tell you, "You suck." We've all seen them in our feed, and odds are they have nothing to do with us whatsoever, but still, they're annoying -- because they're clearly passively-aggressively aimed at someone on Facebook. Just say what you have to say. Enough with the cryptic vagaries. Example: "Isn't it nice to know who you're real friends are, and who's just using you."

The rhetorical question updates. Examples: "Is it the weekend yet?" "Is it 5 o'clock yet?" "Why don't I have a glass of wine in my hand yet?"

The life play-by-play updates. These Facebookers don't work -- or they've got a super-cush gig. Every time you log on, you see three to four -- totally uneventful, non-useful -- updates from them. And eventually you just have to resort to blocking.  Examples: "Judge Judy in t-minus 5!" "Watching Judge Judy." "Oh, Judge Judy just told that guy to stuff it." There's an annoying version of this, where the play-by-play is condensed. An example of this would be: "Breakfast, then work til 3, then gym, then movies to see Breaking Dawn, then sleep!"

The "I'm so deep" updates. Examples: "No matter how much u scream and fight, the world keeps spinning. Enjoy the turns u get :)" "The world would be so much less stressful if you just stopped and breathed." Thanks. If it weren't for this message, I'd probably stop breathing and have to be resuscitated.

The unabashed brag updates. Examples: "Two people thought I was in my 20s today. I thought they were joking, but they were totally serious." Or the person who always posts photos of themselves "doing something amazing" like sailing on a boat, or lounging on a beach with the caption, "Blessed." Wait, I don't mind those beach shots. Part of the reason I like Facebook is that it's news about all my friends.

The "I'm an amazing mommy" updates. Most moms are amazing, and hey, guess what -- the really great ones don't post about how fantastic they are. Example: "Chocolate milk from a cow is poison! Every good mom should just crack open a young coconut, scoop out the flesh, add some wild berries, spirulina flakes, madagascar vanilla bean, and cacao, and blend. SO good!"

RANDY TRAVIS was arrested early Sunday morning for public intoxication in Sanger, Texas, after finding him "smelling of alcohol, slurring his words and clutching an open bottle of wine in front of a church." He told police he'd just gotten into a fight with his girlfriend.

... RANDY TRAVIS says he's "committed to being responsible and accountable" after his arrest for public intoxication. Randy says he was having his own Super Bowl party and needs to be a little more responsible in the future.
 
LADY ANTEBELLUM will tour Europe for eleven shows in July. Beginning July 10, the tour will visit Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Germany, among other stops, through July 27. The trio's North American leg of the Own The Night Tour wraps in late June.
 
DIERKS BENTLEY promotes the release of his album, Home, with a visit this morning (Tuesday) to NBC’s Today Show.
 
JASON ALDEAN and wife Jessica are postponing any Valentine’s Day celebrations until oldest daughter Keeley is 18. She was born on Valentine’s Day nine years ago and the day has turned into a birthday celebration rather than something romantic for Jason and Jessica.
 
TRACE ADKINS will headline NRA Jam 2 in St. Louis, April 13. The event will see more than 70,000 members of the National Rifle Association converging on the city for their annual convention and surrounding events. A portion of the proceeds from the concert will benefit Folds of Honor, an organization that helps provide education options to spouses and children of military personnel killed or disabled in the line of duty.
 
RODNEY ATKINS and GLORIANA will perform April 28 at the post race concert following the Country Music Marathon. The show will be held at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Proceeds from the marathon will go toward St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis. Tickets to the show are available through Ticketmaster.

MADONNA WINS SUPER BOWL GOOGLE SEARCH _ The Giants may have won the Super Bowl, but Madonna won the Google search competition. The 53-year-old halftime performer was Google’s most-searched term during the 2012 Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.

... The second most-searched term was halftime show, further suggesting football is second priority to Americans during the game.

... The Patriots, the losing team, was the most-searched term actually relating to the game and the third-most searched term.

... New England quarterback Tom Brady was fourth on Google’s list followed by the Super Bowl victor, the Giants, which was the fifth most-searched term.

ONLINE DATING IS THE SUPERMARKET OF LOVE _ Combing dating websites for that perfect love match can be very frustrating, and a group of psychology professors released a report on Monday explaining why there is no substitute for meeting face-to-face. The (Northwestern University) researchers say that while online dating is a terrific way for singles to meet, there are two problems. First, poring over seemingly endless lists of profiles of people one does not know does not reveal much about them. Second, it "overloads people and they end up shutting down." The researchers compared it to shopping at "supermarkets of love" and said psychological research shows people presented with too many choices tend to make lazy and often poor decisions.

... The researcher says mobile dating can be a successful way to meet a partner. He says while online dating largely relies on ineffective algorithms and profiles for matchmaking, mobile dating allows users to quickly arrange face-to-face meetings to determine their compatibility.

CATCH A CHEATING SPOUSE BY MAILING OFF THEIR UNDERWEAR _ If you think your spouse is cheating on you, there are a few ways to handle the situation. You could follow them; pay someone to follow them; hide a GPS gadget in their car; and so on. Or you could have their clothes tested for $200. A company called The Paternity Lab Center will test clothing sent to it and search it for traces of foreign DNA. And by foreign, I mean DNA that isn't your spouse's. The company says men are sending in their wives' underwear and women usually send in a pair of women's panties they've found in their husband's possession.

4-YEAR-OLD LOVES TOILETS

A Wisconsin 4-year-old fascinated by toilets is the star of a video produced by fixture-maker Kohler that has more than 100,000 hits on YouTube. Dustin Kruse (of New Berlin), who first started showing an interest in toilets when he was only 18 months old, came to the attention of Kohler when he visited the company's Design Center in the city of the same name with parents Jim and Michele Kruse and his mother later sent the company a letter asking about a possible demo model of the boy's favorite toilet, a $380 dual-flush toilet. The company decided instead to send the family a free toilet with a company plumber to ensure it was properly installed.

... The company filmed Dustin during a recent return to the Design Center, where dozens of different toilets are on display, and created a YouTube video that has gained more than 100,000 views.

111.3 MILLION WATCHED SUPER BOWL _ Super Bowl 46 was not only a big hit with broadcast viewers, it also excelled in the social TV space. 111.3 million Americans tuned in to watch some or all of the NFL's biggest game in which the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots. That puts Super Bowl 46 just ahead of last year’s record breaking broadcast, making the 2012 Super Bowl the most-watched U.S. TV broadcast ever.

... Of course, the Super Bowl didn’t just do well in TV ratings. It dominated the social conversations on Twitter, Facebook and social checkin services like GetGlue. According to social TV analytics firm Bluefin Labs, Super Bowl 46 was the biggest social TV event on record, surpassing the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in terms of social media comments. Bluefin’s data shows that the Super Bowl generated 12.2 million social media comments.

... Although the game itself generated tons of social comments, the halftime show was also hugely social. Not only was Madonna the most searched term on Google, the halftime show generated 862,000 social comments (according to Bluefin). To put that figure in perspective, it's estimated that the entire 2011 Academy Awards generated 966,000 comments.

... Honda’s CR-V ad featuring Ferris Bueller himself (Matthew Broderick) was the most-buzzed about ad on social media.

CLINT EASTWOOD RESPONDS TO AD CRITICS _ After a day filled with chatter about the political implications of his "Halftime in America" Super Bowl commercial for Chrysler, acting legend Clint Eastwood moved to put a stop to any speculation that he was making a pitch for President Obama's economic policy. Eastwood said Monday evening on Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, "l am certainly not politically affiliated with Mr. Obama. It was meant to be a message about job growth and the spirit of America." Chrysler was one of the companies saved in President Obama's 2009 auto bailout, which Eastwood has publicly opposed.

... Earlier in the day, Fox News contributor Karl Rove criticized the ad for being "a sign of what happens when you have Chicago-style politics, and the President of the United States and his political minions are, in essence, using our tax dollars to buy corporate advertising." In response, Eastwood's longtime manager said the ad was never intended to be political.

THE VOICE SNAGS HUGE RATINGS _ Sunday night's The Voice's post-Super Bowl season debut made huge ratings. The ratings weren't just good by NBC standers — the season 2 premiere scored the best rating among 18-to-49-year-old demo for a show following the game since 2006. The reality show attracted approximately 34 million viewers -- 40% better than last year's airing of Glee on Fox, which pulled in 26.8 million viewers.

... NBC literally hasn't gotten ratings like this for an entertainment show since the finale of Friends in 2004.

PETA's TAKE ON THE SUPER BOWL ADS _

This year's Super Bowl was very good. The halftime show wasn't bad, either. But the star was, once again, the commercials. And the best ads were those with animals. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has created its own list of the best Super Bowl ads.

BEST: Bud Light. Although a real dog was used in the making of this Super Bowl commercial, animal rights groups are praising this ad for promoting the adoption of stray animals. The ad encourages people to visit Bud Light's Facebook page, where "Likes" will lead the company to donate up to $250,000 to Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation.

BEST: Kia. PETA praised Kia's Super Bowl ad for using a computer-generated rhinoceros instead of a real animal.

WORST: Hyundai. PETA says Hyundai made a bad choice by featuring a real cheetah in its Super Bowl ad. They write, "Wild animals used for ads often spend most of their lives confined to cages or chains and may be routinely beaten in order to 'show them who's boss.'"

WORST: Careerbuilder.com. PETA says of the childish chimp co-workers, "Yes, the chimpanzees are immature -- that's because they're babies who should be with their mothers."

WORST: Sketchers. The Sketchers Super Bowl ad featuring greyhound racing was frowned upon by some animal rights groups.

SWEETHEART SWINDLES

A Valentines warning: Be careful of the man or women you just met online that seems to be really, really interested in you -- they could just be looking to rip you off. The Better Business Bureau warns that it happens way to often. Innocent victims fall for fake online romantic relationships and end up losing thousands of dollars.

* A woman in Washington state got 46-months in prison for swindling an elderly doctor out of $2.2 million by faking interest in him online over several years.

* A study in the U.K. found that more than 200,000 people had been conned by scammers posing as potential romantic partners online. Victims lost up to $379,000.

* A lawsuit in 2010 claimed that more than half of the profiles on a leading dating site were "inactive, fake, or fraudulent." In some cases these profiles are linked to scammers in other countries where it's hard to track.

Here are some tips before fishing for love online:

-- Find out whether the dating service does any background checks or fraud scans before a person’s profile is posted.

-- Be cautious if the person claims to be recently widowed or says they’re an American stationed overseas, possibly in the military.

-- Be cautious if the person immediately asks you to communicate on an email or messaging system outside the dating site. Some dating sites monitor exchanges for signs of fraud, and a fraudster may be anxious to lure you away from the site.

-- Do a Google search on the person. You can even paste the text of the email, profile description, or pictures into Google and search to see if similar text, pictures or descriptions are used by others. Some criminals create multiple profiles and use the same information over and over.

-- Be suspicious if the person hints that they are in financial trouble or have another sudden need for money. If the person asks you to wire money—such as by Western Union, MoneyGram or Green Dot MoneyPak—it more than likely is a scam.

-- Check the person’s name in online databases of sex offenders, which are available in many states. If you decide to meet the person, go to a place where there are large numbers of people and where you feel safe. Consider taking someone along with you.

GUYS SPILL THEIR SECRETS

• Guys tend to have a good self-image -- 8 in 10 say they'd date themselves if they were a woman.

• Then again, some of them tend to have body image issues -- 62 percent say they worry about the way they look naked.

• Looks don't matter as much as we might think -- 84 percent of guys say they'd prefer to hook up with an average-looking girl who's wild in the sack than a hottie with no moves.

• And power seems to be a turn on -- 55 percent of guys polled say they'd rather have a fling with their female boss than their female assistant.

• On the fantasy front ... 36 percent of guys insist they never secretly imagine being with someone else during intimate moments -- but 3 percent say they can't get busy unless they've got another person in their mind.

• Only 6 percent of men say they "never" look at porn.

• 56 percent of the men surveyed admitted they secretly want to sleep with just about all of their female friends.

• Two-thirds of guys say they've turned down a sexual proposition. The rest say they've never gotten an offer they couldn't refuse.

• Only 6 percent of guys say that they'd end a relationship after finding out a girlfriend had kissed a girl -- or done more. More than a third say they'd suggest she do it again -- with him in the mix.

• On the flip side, 84 percent said "no one, no way," when asked if they'd ever consider sleeping with another man.

WAYS TO OPT OUT OF VALENTINE'S DAY

• Take the day to hibernate: Enjoy some much-needed alone time ... put on your comfiest PJs, catch up on your favorite shows, eat ice cream, paint your toe nails ... whatever you like to do that you haven't had time to do for a while.

• Go see the newest horror/slasher movie: Most couples will be at the romantic comedy, so this is the perfect option -- and you can always ask another single friend to join you.

• Don't go out to dinner: All the restaurants will be packed with googly-eyed couples.

• Avoid Facebook. No one needs to see all those lovey-dovey posts.
