Megan Moroney embraces the sweet stage of indifference after a breakup.
Moroney teamed up with Ben Williams, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Micah Carpenter to write âIndifferent,â produced by Kristian Bush. The rock-infused country anthem âoffers a glimpse at the braver and bolder songwritingâ to expect on Moroneyâs upcoming sophomore album, per a press release issued Friday morning (May 3). It's the third song to release from the 14-track project, following âNo Called IDâ and â28th of June.â
âIndifferentâ arrives one day after the Georgia-born singer-songwriter revealed long-awaited details about her sophomore studio album, Am I Okay? The project follows Moroneyâs powerful debut chapter that launched her meteoric rise in the music industry last year. The Lucky era included award-winning breakthrough single âTennessee Orange,â âIâm Not Pretty,â âLuckyâ âGirl in the Mirror,â âTraitor Joe,â âSad Songs For Sad Peopleâ and more.
âMY SOPHOMORE ALBUM âAM I OKAY?â IS OUT JULY 12TH!!!â Moroney gushed in her caption on Instagram when she announced her album on Thursday (May 2). âwowowow i canât believe itâs happening again already đ my debut album came out 362 days ago & iâve spent the past year doing nothing but touring, writing this record & basically living in the studio getting it ready for yâall. i love these songs SO much & i canât wait for you to hear them! âĻđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ OMGGG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING ME & MY MUSIC I COULD CRYâ
Moroney, one of the most-nominated artists at the 59th ACM Awards this month, made her Stagecoach Festival debut over the weekend, in the midst of her headlining âLucky 2.0 Tour.â Sheâs also taking stadium stages while touring with country hitmaker Kenny Chesney, along with Zac Brown Band and Uncle Kracker on the âSun Goes Down 2024 Tour.â
âI've been taking every ounce of free time that I have to write and be in the studio, so I'm just keeping the ball rolling,â Moroney told iHeartCountry in a December interview. âI know that my fans are excited for new music, so try to keep them happy.â
